BIOGRAPHY

My name is Michael Lichtenstein and I am originally from South Africa, I lived in Zimbabwe and moved with my family to Israel when I was a teenager. I came to the USA to go to college and earned a BA at Brandeis University, MA and PhD at the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the American University College of Law. I was a college professor and have been a lawyer for over 30 years. I have been happily married for 41 years. We have three terrific daughters, their spouses and three grandchildren.

I started dabbling in art a few years ago and enjoy experimenting with various techniques and themes.  I paint mostly in acrylics  (some oil) and am focusing on abstracts these days.  I enjoy combining geometric shapes with a squeegee effect with different layers.
